EDITOR CARSON NEWS DIES IN RENO HOSPITAL

HARRY P. GIFFORD MEETS DEATH FOLLOWING AN OPERATION IN RENO HOSPITAL

    Harry P. GIFFORD, editor of the Carson News, died in Reno, November 4, 
following an operation for intestinal trouble.  Mr. GIFFORD was born in 
Carson City forty-five years ago and has practically lived there all his 
life.  As a boy he was connected with the News and since 1918 has been its 
editor.  He served one term in the lower house of our legislature and had 
been prominent in I.O.O.F circles.  He leaves a wife and three children 
besides his parents, one brother and two sisters.  His remains were taken to 
Carson for interment.
