James H. Sturtevant, a prominent citizen of Hopland, fell dead on his ranch Tuesday morning, May 23, of heart trouble. He came to Carson City in 1858, married Miss Emma Curry and moved to California in 1872. January 17, 1899. Glick Winston died at the home of his father-in-law in Six Mile Canyon. He was raised in Carson City, going to the Comstock nearly a year ago. He leaves a wife and two children in Virginia City, a brother in Dawson City and relatives in Carson.
