She came west about 1879 on the train from Minnesota to make her home with her two sons James and Ben Cope who settled the ranch later known as the E.T. Morgan ranch on the Carson River." D: c1886 LEWIS, Charles D: 19 Aug 1906 "Charles Lewis, aged about 67 years, died in this place last Sunday evening after a week's illness from paralysis. Deceased had been engaged in teaming for several months past between Hazen and Fairview, and was a man of uprightness. He leaves a family in Rathdrum, Idaho, consisting of a wife, son and 2 step sons, who were at once notified of his death but the distance was so great that but one member of the family came to attend his last obsequies which occurred from the Seventh Day Adventist Church at St.. Harmon did on the 27 Nov 1890 officiate at the burial of Frank A. Austin, a native of Maine, aged about 36 years, in the presence of W.C. Ferguson and J.W. Ferguson. St. Clair, NV."
