Little Girl is Scalded to Death

2-year-old Daughter of Fallon Family Falls Into Pan of Boiling Water and Dies

Fallon, Nev., Feb. 29.—Esther Bennett, the two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Bennett, living on a ranch near Fallon, died Tuesday from the effects of
a fearful scalding she received Monday by falling into a pan of boiling water.

The mother of the little one was washing and had filled a pan with boiling water
and the child fell over backward into it.  A physician was immediately
telephoned for and arrived in a short time, but all of his efforts to save her
life were in vain.
