Memorial services were scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday at Temple Beth Sholom in Las Vegas with burial in California. Adelson was a founder, partner, and administrator of Sunrise Hospital in Las Vegas. He was elected director of the board of the Federation of American Hospitals and received the Israel Prime Minister's Medal in 1972 for his devotion to the state of Israel and Israel bonds campaign. Adelson, a native of Omaha, Neb., moved to Los Angeles and opened a food store with his brothers. The one store eventually became a chain. In 1954, he moved to Las Vegas, where he owned the Market Town Food stores, which he eventually sold. Adelson joined with Florida builder and developer Irwin Molasky to design and build Sunrise Hospital in 1958. Adelson took over as administrator in 1961 and became president of the hospital in 1965. He was a board member of Temple Beth Am, Los Angeles, and Temple Beth Sholom. Adelson also was a 32nd Degree Mason, Los Angeles Consistory, and a past master of Westagate Masonic Lodge No. 355, Los Angeles. He served as a board member on the Las Vegas Symphony organization, Child Haven Board and United Way. Adelson is survived by (omitted)
