MICHAEL ALLEN Michael Floyd Allen, 22, passed away unexpectedly in San Diego, 
Jan. 30, 2011. Michael was born Oct. 18, 1988, in San Bernardino, Calif., to 
Michael and Erica Shumaker Allen. Michael moved to the Las Vegas Valley as a 
young child. He graduated from Basic High School in 2007. After high school, 
he joined the U.S. Navy and had been in the past four years. Michael enjoyed 
snowboarding, motorcycles, and running track. He loved serving in the Navy and 
just finished training to be a mineman. Michael will be greatly missed by his 
many friends and family. Michael is survived by his wife, Cherisse; father, 
Michael Allen; brothers, Eric (Katie) Lehy, Dallas Allen, Aaron Allen and 
Jacob Allen; sisters, Kisha Allen, Kassidee Allen, Sarah Allen and Alexandera 
Allen; grandparents, Ervin (Alice) Allen and Janice Moore. He was preceded in 
death by his mother, Erica; and grandparents, Lawrence and Corkie Shumaker. 
Visitation will be 2-5 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 10, at Beardsley-Mitchell Funeral 
Home, San Diego and again 2-4 p.m., Feb. 13, at Boulder City Family Mortuary. 
Service and burial at 1:20 p.m., Monday, Feb. 14, at Southern Nevada Veterans 
Memorial Cemetery.
