DIED

BRACKEN:  In Pasadena, California, Thursday, April 29, 1915, J. P. 
BRACKEN, father of Walter R. BRACKEN of this city, Dr. J. K. W. BRACKEN 
of Salt Lake City and Miss Edith BRACKEN of Pasadena.  In addition to 
the children named the deceased leaves a widow to mourn his loss.
    The death of Mr. BRACKEN has been seen approaching for some time.  
For several years past he has been slowly failing in health, and his 
passing has been like the gradual fading of the light after the sun has 
set.
    The deceased has lived a long, honorable and useful life and while, 
by reason of his years, his going is but the natural part, his memory 
still lives in the hearts of many friends.  We extend our sincere 
sympathy to those who mourn the loss of husband, father and kindly 
friend.
    The funeral is set for this afternoon at Pasadena.
