For many years he was known in the mining camps of Colorado, New Mexico, Arizona and Nevada. He was a kindly and congenial spirit and while he made friends wherever he went, but little is known of his early life. So far as is known here he leaves no relatives surviving him. For some years he had been in poor health but was able to be about most of the time, but was dangerously ill only a few days.
