 LAS VEGAS REVIEW JOURNAL - 1/1/1964

CASHMAN, James, Sr. - 78, expired Dec. 30th in his home at 215 North 
Fourth.  Born in LaRue, Mo. on Dec. 16, 1884; he had been a resident of 
Las Vegas for fifty years.  He was active in civic affairs and a member of 
the Elks Lodge.  Survived by [omitted]Services are being held at the new 
Elks Hall on Thursday, Jan. 3rd at 10 a.m.  The Elks' Lodge will officiate.  
Friends may call at the Palm Chapel where Mr. Cashman will lie in state 
until Thursday.  Interment in the Woodlawn Cemetery.

(note:  Mr. Cashman is now interred in a family plot at Palm = Eastern (Valley View).
