The deceased leaves as her nearest surviving relatives, her brother, Roderick COLTON and her sister, Mrs. Ahmo BERRY, both of this city; and her mother, Mrs. Lillian YORK and her grandmother, Mrs. J. A. BROWNING, residing in Alamogordo, N. M., both of whom arrived here Monday evening. Funeral services were conducted at the undertaking parlor Tuesday afternoon, Elder Ira EARL presiding, and the remains were laid for their last rest in Woodlawn cemetery, beside those of her father, Richard Alvan COLTON, who died four years ago. A large number of sorrowing friends and neighbors attended the services and many automobiles followed the remains to the cemetery. The deceased was a very lovable young girl, a favorite with all who were so fortunate as to know her. But last June she graduated from the Las Vegas Grammar School. The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community goes out to the afflicted ones in their great sorrow. Dorma was stricken with acute appendicitis, which had reached an advanced stage when she underwent an operation at the Las Vegas hospital July 14th. Although for some days, her condition was critical, she responded to careful treatment and loving care and appeared on the high road to recovery until pneumonia set in nearly a week before her death. This complication again brought her to a critical condition, but again she was passing the crisis and there was hope of her recovery. However, weakened by the toxic poisons which her system had absorbed during her attack of appendicitis and pneumonia, she passed away suddenly on Saturday morning, only five minutes after having conversed cheerly with her brother and her physician.
