The news of the death of Mr. DAVISSON came as a shock to the community. He had been suffering from pneumonia following an attack of influenza and in spite of all care and every medical aid, he passed away. The funeral services were held at the home on Fourth street Monday evening at 8:15 and were attended by a large concourse of friends. The fellow workers with Mr. DAVISSON attended in a body as a last respect. A short sermon was preached by Rev. C. C. RONNOW, and the remains taken to Los Angeles on the early morning train for interment. Mr. DAVISSON was a young man of many fine qualities and a favorite with all who knew him. He was machinist foreman in the shops and enjoyed the respect and confidence of his fellow workers. As a friend and companion he was pleasant and congenial. His death leaves a vacancy in the community which will long remain. But a few short months ago he took his wife, a young woman whom all Las Vegas loves and respect and to her especially our deep and heartfelt sympathy goes out at this time of her bereavement.
