DIED

DIED:  In Las Vegas, Tuesday evening, Mrs. Effie DAY. Her death 
occurred in Dr. MARTIN's hospital, where she had undergone a very 
serious operation.  She leaves a little daughter, 9 years old, who is 
being cared for at the home of her grandparents in Garden Grove, 
California.  The funeral services were conducted at the undertaking 
parlors Friday afternoon by the Rev. Percival S. SMITHE.  Interment in 
the city cemetery.
