Just as the cabin was reached, Mr. DETMAR came reeling out blazing from head to foot and fell to the ground. After many vain efforts on account of the intense heat he was finally dragged away, but life was almost extinct and he passed away within a few moments. A coroner's jury was quickly summoned which rendered a verdict of death by fire of unknown origin. Mr. DETMAR lived at one time in Colusa Co., California and was well known politically. Since leaving Colusa Co., he has traveled extensively, being engaged in mining, seeking the elusive fortune we all center our hopes on. The funeral took place Monday afternoon in the city cemetery. As the cabin was entirely consumed little information could be procured as to the location of his family. Efforts will be made, however, to get in touch with some of his friends with this end in view. - Searchlight Enterprise.
