MARY DIIORIO Mary Evelyn (Bentancourt) DiIorio, 95, passed away Friday, March 
29, 2013. She was born Feb. 8, 1918, in Providence, R.I. She married her loving 
husband, Dee, in 1942. Together, they worked and raised a family, moving to Las 
Vegas in 1969. Mary was a devoted wife and mother who worked as a "Rosie the 
Riveter" while her husband served during World War II. She will be remembered 
for her love and dedication to her family and for her tireless energy and 
spirit. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ignazio "Dee" DiIorio, who 
passed away in 2003. She is survived by her son, Gilbert DiIorio and his wife, 
Kathy; her daughter, Geraldine Bedrosian and her husband, Ken; grandchildren, 
Gil, Mark, Trina and Jen; and eight great-grandchildren. There will be a "life 
celebration" prior to her being laid to rest alongside her husband at 12:40 
p.m. Thursday, April 18, at Southern Nevada Veterans Cemetery, 1900 Veterans 
Memorial Drive in Boulder City.
