He was born March 8, 1930. He married Patricia Eiffes of Dubuque, Iowa, and they moved to southern California in 1953, where they raised their children. Neil was Boy Scout leader, little league manager and baseball umpire. He served as president of the local Toastmasters and was also a BPOE member. Neil and Pat were members of Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club and Hollywood Yacht Club. Neil was a director at BCYC, Commodore of HYC and Commodore of Southern California Cruiser Association. Neil founded F&S Machine in 1975, specializing in precision CNC machining. He retired in 1992 and continued boating on "Escape Hatch" until 2001, when he and Pat moved to Henderson. There, he became a golf enthusiast and made two holes-in-one at ages 80 and 84. He was preceded in death by his great-granddaughter, Hannah Grace. He is survived by wife, Pat, who shared 65 wonderful years with him; and his children and their spouses, Michael (Brenda), Stephen (Kathe), Neil A. (Beth), Lynne (William) Houtchens and Jeffrey J. (Julie). He leaves 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. Per Neil's request, no services are scheduled.
