He was born Sept. 6, 1949, in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and resided in Las Vegas since 1962. Charles was a U.S. Army Vietnam War veteran. He was employed with Station Casinos as a production chef for over 21 years. Charles was an avid fisherman and loved to travel with his wife, Wanda. He loved the Lord and his family. Charles is survived by his wife, Wanda J. Gambino; sons, Bruce Allen Hartshorn of Oceanside, Calif., James Allen Hartshorn of Las Vegas, and Paul Allen Hartshorn of St. George, Utah; parents, Charles Anthony Gambino, Sr. and Frances Gambino of Henderson; brothers, Joseph Gambino of St. Mary, Kan., and Michael and Ralph Gambino, both of Las Vegas; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cynthia Kelsey Gambino; and son, Charles Anthony Gambino, III, in 1980. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, and from noon-7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 23, both at Palm Mortuary, 6701 N. Jones Blvd. Visitation also from 10-11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, with services to follow, both at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 10070 Azure at Hualapai. Interment following services at Memory Gardens, 7251 W. Lone Mountain Road. Arrangements handled by Palm Mortuary- Northwest.
