Janet Bond Gilman, 74, of Las Vegas, passed away March 17, 2010. She was born 
Feb. 29, 1936, in York, Neb., and was a 70-year resident of Nevada. She moved 
to Las Vegas at the age of four and attended Washington and Jefferson Street 
Schools and the Fifth Street Grammar School. She graduated in 1955 from Las 
Vegas High School and was a member of the pride of LVHS dance team - "The 
Rhythmettes." As a Rhythmette, she performed at many events, both locally and 
nationally and appeared on the Ed Sullivan Show. She was employed by the State 
of Nevada Unemployment Office in various job titles before retiring as a fraud 
investigator. Janet will be remembered for her quick wit and keen sense of 
humor. Her faith in God and the courage and strength she displayed were an 
inspiration to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Romans 
8:28. Janet was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Bond; and mother, Ada 
Bond. Janet is survived by her siblings, Charlotte Knudsen, Jim Bond, Terry 
Bond and Sharon Fox; children, Shelley Wagner (Robert), Lance Gilman (Amy) and 
Amber Ballagh (Andy); and grandchildren, Bert Brady and Bryan Wagner, Ava 
Ballagh, and David, Daniel and Timothy Gilman; her precious kitty; and many 
extended family and friends. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, 
March 27, at Calvary Chapel Spring Valley, 7175 W. Oquendo Road, Las Vegas, NV 
89113.
