DIED

 

EDDY: - In this city, Thursday morning, January 31, 1918, Frank EDDY of Indian 

Springs, aged 67 years and 30 days.

    The deceased was taken sick with pneumonia Saturday last and was brought to 

the Las Vegas Hospital for treatment Monday night.  However the disease had 

made too much progress and there was no hope of recovery.

    Mr. EDDY was born in Ohio, December 31, 1850.  About three years ago he 

brought his family to Indian Springs where he took up a homestead on government 

land.  He leaves surviving him, five daughters, Mrs. R.C. CALLISON of St. 

Joseph, Mo.; Mrs. Melvin BATES of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; Mrs. S. B. NALL of 

Vivian, La; Mrs. Rose RALPH and Mrs. T. F. HARNADY, both of Indian Springs; and 

one son, Leo F. EDDY, also of Indian Springs.

    Funeral services were held at the chapel of the Las Vegas Undertaking Co. 

this (Saturday) morning and interment was in the city cemetery.  The death of 

this good citizen is sincerely regretted by all and we extend our sympathy to 

the bereaved ones.
