PHILLIPS, aged 36, of influenza pneumonia. The remains were taken in charge by the O.R.C., and will be shipped to Roseberg, Ore., for interment. The death of George PHILLIPS brings sadness to many hearts. He has been a resident of Las Vegas for many years and was a faithful and valued employee of the Salt Lake road. He was married in this city in 1911 to Miss Marguerite TOOLEY, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. TOOLEY, now of Roseberg, Oregon. He had purchased a ranch in Oregon and was planning soon to make his home there. Mrs. PHILLIPS was in Roseberg, and upon receiving word of Mr. PHILLIPS' serious illness, started for Vegas. At Port Costa, Cal., she was notified of her husband's death and turned back. Mr. and Mrs. Allen ENGLISH, who were with her, continued on to Vegas. The deceased leaves surviving him his widow and two small children, the baby having died but a month ago. He also leaves his mother and two brothers residing in Ohio to mourn him. We chronicle the passing of George PHILLIPS with deep grief. We came to know him well and to love and respect him as a clean and upright man. To his widow and all those who mourn, we express the deep sympathy of the entire community. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nvfiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
