PROMINENT NEVADAN DIES IN SAN FRANCISCO



    P. L. FLANIGAN, former State Senator from Washoe County, and for many

years a prominent business man of Elko, died in San Francisco last Saturday

afternoon.  He had but recently returned from the Hawaiian Island where he

some time ago suffered a severe attack of influenza.  The remains were taken

to Reno for interment.

    He came to Reno in 1877 at the age of 19 years and in a few years had

established himself as one of the most prosperous livestock men in the

state.  He was a Republican in politics and in 1908 was a candidate of his

party for United States Senator.  He was a prominent figure in the state

senate during several sessions.
