    Mrs. Charles IRELAND has received the sad news of the death at Burk,

Idaho, of her brother, J. J. HENNESSY of Spokane, Mont.  Mr. HENNESSY was a

mining man and had just rescued three men who had been overcome with gas in

the mine.  His own lungs were affected and he died suddenly of pneumonia.
