DIED



    On Friday evening as Mr. and Mrs. Andrew EGGERTSEN were about 10 miles

from Las Vegas on their way here from Los Angeles, Mr. EGGERTSEN compalined

of a numbness of his right side.  The sick man was hurried here with all

possible speed, but was unconscious when he was taken into Dr. HEWETSON's

hospital, and expired shortly afterwards.  He had been apparently well and

in his usual happy frame of mind and his sudden demise came as a great shock

to his wife.  Mr. and Mrs. EGGERTSEN formerly were the proprietors of the

Cotage Grocery on Second street and left here about a year ago for San

Diego.  They were enroute to their former home near Provo, Utah, where the

body will be sent for burial.  The sympathy of the community is extended to

the widow.
