Mrs. MC QUEEN's maiden name was Laura VASSAR. She came to Las Vegas to visit her mother about two years ago, and after a few days courtship, although only 15 years of age, married Harry MC QUEEN, then proprietor of a local saloon. The couple lived together in this city only eleven days, when the young bride announced her intention of returning to her former home in Los Angeles. The slayer of the girl, according to information, was an old suitor, and had repeatedly asked the girl to marry him. Following the slaying, Lewis, as the slayer was known, shot himself, inflicting wounds from which he died five days later.
