DEATH OF MISS VANDERLIETH



(Official Club Notes, Nevada Federation of Women's Clubs.)



    "It is with profound sorrow that in this issue of the club notes we

record the passing of Miss VANDERLIETH at 2 o'clock on the morning of

Sunday, February 29.  Since October 26, 1912, Miss VANDERLIETH has been

chairman of the Student Loan Department, which she instituted and promoted

during the years with the utmost zeal and efficiency.  Her earnestness and

self devotion to her club work and indeed every philanthropic movement,

particularly the education of the youth of Nevada, established for her a

unique position in the annals of club life.  Her strength of character was

shown in her untiring and faithful work, her contented, happy home life, her

patience under difficulties, and helpfulness under any adverse

circumstances.  All over this state there will be a personal sense of loss

in her passing.  Her memory will long be with us as a true friend and

conscientious co-worker, though she has been called

    'Out of the mist and rain

    Into the broader vision."
