DIED



BANFIELD;  In this city, Thursday, December [January] 22, 1920, Horton D.

BANFIELD, aged 64 years.  The funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00

p.m., Rev. Wm. H. ROGERS officiating.

    The deceased leaves surviving his widow and one daughter, Mrs. Leon H.

ROCKWELL of this city.

    Horton D. BANFIELD was born in Palmira, New York and lived there up to

the time he came to Las Vegas with his wife last September.  For thirty-two

years he was in the employ of the Elmira Water, Light & Railway Company, and

he came to Las Vegas to recuperate after his long period of strenuous

service.  Sunday last he suffered an apolectic stroke and sank gradually

until the end came.

    The sympathy of the entire community goes out to those who are so sadly

bereaved.
