JONES. To the tolling of the fire bell, with heads bowed and bared, the silent procession followed to the Methodist Church where the services were held. The church was filled to overflowing with those who had known and respected the deceased during his lifetime. Rev. Leo C. KLINE conducted the simple and solemn services, delivering a touching and eloquent address. The music by the choir was beautiful and appropriate. After the throng had taken their last look at the features of their friend, the cortege again formed and escorted the remains to the railway station, whence they were taken to Los Angeles for interment in beautiful Forest Lawn Cemetery. The pall bearers at the services in this city were: B. M. DITTMAN, Edward T. FAHAY, J. D. KRAMER, W. F. BARTLETT, E. J. RICHARDS and A. N. DOAK, who had been fellow workers with the deceased. The organizations which composed the cortege were: Blacksmiths' Local No. 438; the Las Vegas City Fire Department with equipment; Vegas Lodge No. 32, F. & A.M.: Artesia Lodge No. 43, I.O.O.F.: and the Elks. Mrs. JONES was accompanied to Los Angeles by Mrs. Walter E. SEARE and Mrs. J. J. SILK, who ministered to her during her great ordeal. Those who were in charge of the arrangements were A. N. DOAK, W. C. HORN, E. J. RICHARDS and Jose PEREZ. Las Vegas again paid a sincere tribute to the memory of a good official and a good man on Tuesday, when all places of business were closed for the hour during which the burial services were to take place in Los Angeles. At this time the entire force of the railroad shops, where the deceased had so long been a familiar figure, marched through the streets and stood silently and sorrowfully before the empty home of their dead friend and companion. And so Las Vegas said good-bye--and there were none but joined in the mourning.
