FULLER, WHO ENTERED THE SERVICE SEPTEMBER 9 KILLED IN ACTION Another Clark County lad has made the supreme sacrifice in giving his life for the Liberty of the world. Frank S. FULLER was killed in action on the fields in France during the recent great battle in which the American soldiers proved themselves heroes. On Wednesday morning, September 19, 1917, twenty-six Clark county boys marched down the streets of Las Vegas in high spirits. They were escorted by the Grammar School Boys Band, citizens and officials. At the bank corner the parade halted and the departing soldiers were given a brief address by Judge LILLIS and comfort bags were presented to them by the Vegas women. Then to the train and a hurried good-bye and a wave of the hand and Frank S. FULLER and his companions were on their way. Of the manner of his death nothing is known at this time, but all believe that he met his fate bravely, as did hundreds of other American boys. Frank FULLER was for several years fireman on the Las Vegas & Salt Lake road, residing in Vegas. He was born in Springville, Utah, May 30, 1888, at which place his parents with several brothers and sisters still reside. In Las Vegas the only relative is Mrs. S. W. CRANER and to her as well as the other sorrowing ones, our deep sympathy goes out. The following are the names of all those who entrained for Camp Lewis on that 19th of September with Frank FULLER. They are fighting our fight on the Western battle front. Let us hold them in remembrance, and when we welcome those who return to us when peace comes, may we be able to do so with the consciousness that we who have remained in our peaceful homes have used every energy and means to assist our country and support and encourage those who are offering their lives for the liberation of humanity.
