CLARK COUNTY BOY DIES AFTER LINGERING ILLNESS





    We are in receipt of the sad news of the death of Newell LEAVITT at 


Delta, Utah, Monday, September 12.  He had been in poor health for some 


time, suffering from a complication brought on by a very severe case of 


influenza.  He was buried in Delta.


    Newell was a Clark County boy, coming to Las Vegas from his home in 


Mesquite, to attend high school.  After leaving school he entered the employ 


of the Clark Forwarding Company, a position which he held until he removed 


to Bunkerville.  While here he was married to Miss Nettie EARL, daughter of 


J. I. EARL, of Overton, and of this union there are four little sons. 


Newell was a most exemplary young man and was prominent in the Mormon 


church.  He had served three years in the mission field before coming here 


to school.  He and his family had resided in Delta the past four years where 


he was interested in agriculture.  The sympathy of all goes out to the widow 


and her little ones who mourn the loss of a loving husband and father.
