Jack REYNOLDS was born in Rome, New York. During his younger days he worked as a pressman in Massachusetts and later in the same capacity in Chicago. After leaving the latter city he worked in Denver and Boulder, Colorado. He came to Las Vegas in the year 1910 and has ever since that date resided in this city. He leaves surviving him only his widow, Mrs. Helen REYNOLDS. The funeral services were held at the undertaking chapel Wednesday afternoon, the services being conducted by F. A. STEVENS, Noble Grand and Henry M. LILLIS, Past Grand of Artesia Lodge No. 43, I. O. O. F., and the members of the Lodge. Past Grand LILLIS delivered a short eulogy. There was a floral wreath from the Lodge, of which the deceased was Vice Grand, and other beautiful floral tributes. The pall bearers, all members of the Lodge, were Arthur R. ANDERSON, Ruben BRADSHAW, Ed. HALL, A. S. HENDERSON, W. F. RECTOR and Leonard CARSON. ------------------------------ Jack REYNOLDS, well known Las Vegas man and an employe of the Clark County Review, committed suicide Monday afternoon shortly before 4 o'clock by taking the muzzle of a 45 caliber revolver in his mouth and blowing off the top of his head. A coroner's inquest held Tuesday returned a verdict as follows: We the undersigned, the jurors summoned to appear before Henry M. LILLIS, the coroner in and for Las Vegas Township, County of Clark, State of Nevada, on the 5th day of May[September], 1921, to inquire into the cause of the death of Jack REYNOLDS, deceased, found lying dead in a room in the south-west corner of his residence, situate in the Original Townsite of Las Vegas, having been first duly sworn according to law and having made such inquisition after inspecting the body and hearing the testimony adduced upon our oaths each and all do say: that he was a native of the United States of America, aged about thirty-nine years; that he came to his death on the 5th day of September, in the City of Las Vegas in Clark County, State of Nevada by a gunshot wound self inflicted, causing instant death. All of which we duly certify by this inquisition, in writing by us signed, this 6th day of September, 1921. E. K. HULL, Foreman O. P. NAYLOR M. A. KEYSE, Coroner's jury Dr. H. L. HEWETSON, being called as a witness, testified to the following facts: Q. Regarding the body of the deceased, Jack REYNOLDS, who was found yesterday in his home in Old Town, or Original Townsite, did you see the body in his home last evening? A. I did Q. Have you examined the body this morning? A. I did, at the morgue Q. You may briefly state to the jury the condition of the body and if there were any marks upon it that would indicate death and in what form. A. On examination of the body there was presented a wound; a gun shot wound. From appearances it went in through the roof of the mouth and out through the vault of the head causing instant death. Q. Did you find any other marks or bruises on the body? A. No, there were no other marks or bruises on the body. Q. That frature or hole in his head, what would the official cause of that be? A. It was a penetrating wound caused by the gun shot; would almost inevitably be a gun shot wound. Q. Is there anything else that you know in regard to the cause of this gun shot wound? A. Nothing. A. T. MC CARTER, chief of police, testified that he last saw the deceased alive at a quarter to two, going over to the base ball park. Q. Where did you see him next? A.
