    Thomas E. BROWN, 51, of Reno, died Thursday in a Reno hospital.  He was 

born Jan. 9, 1939, in Harrisburg, Pa.  A former Las Vegas resident, he was 

director of sales at Bally's in Reno.  Prior to that, he worked for the Reno-

Sparks Convention and Visitors Authority, and in Las Vegas at the Sands for 

nearly 20 years.  A graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, he also worked 

as assistant sales manager at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York, a page at the 

United States Senate and served in the Army reserves.

No local services are scheduled.  Ross Burke & Knobel Mortuaries, Reno, is 

handling arrangments.
