E. HOWELL, of Overton was accidently drowned at Dover, N. J. a few days ago. The HOWELL family lived for many years at Nephi, Utah and it was there that Seymour enlisted in the medical corps when war was declared. He was stationed for a time at Fort Douglas. While being transferred east his train was wrecked and he suffered injuries. Soon after this he underwent an operation for appendicitis and was again in the hospital for some time. These ordeals no doubt weakened his heart and while in bathing his heart failed him and he sank without a struggle. The young soldier leaves, besides his parents, two brothers, Harry, who lives in Nevada and Vern, who is in the aviation service, and two sisters, Mrs. Florence CHASE and Mrs. Lester BALLISTON of Nephi. Funeral services were held in Nephi, the soldier being buried with military honors. The sympathy of the community goes out to this family.
