The county council of defense met Tuesday evening and made arrangements to be represented at the funeral. The council also decided to take the Pioche band to Caliente on this occasion. Word was received here Monday of the death of Clarence HUNTSMAN at Seattle, Washington. He was 18 years of age and was the first Lincoln County boy to enlist. He enlisted in February, 1917, before we declared war against Germany. He has been stationed at Camp Lewton, near Seattle. The remains were shipped from Vancouver, Washington Wednesday, and are due to arrive at Caliente today. The funeral will be held tomorrow (Saturday) and will be conducted by the Red Cross. Rev. P. S. SMITHE will deliver the funeral oration. It is hoped that a large number of automobiles will go down from Pioche.
