LEAVITT, Thursday morning, January 31, at 4 o'clock. Mrs. LEAVITT had long since reached the allotted three score years and ten and for some time had not been in the best of health but age and ill-health together with the fact that she was blind had not dimmed her interest in her friends and in the community happenings. She had lived in the Virgin Valley many years, coming there with her husband, Dudley LEAVITT, Sr., from Southern Utah. During the early years her husband was one of the men who spent a goodly share of his time and ingenuity in keeping peace with the Indians and she shared with him the dangers of those pioneer days. Seven children survive her - Mrs. W. E. ABBOTT, Mrs. Herbert WAITE, Dudley, Alonzo, Daniel and Frank S. Her husband and two sons, Orson and Aaron have preceded her to their long home. Interment took place at Mesquite. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nv/clark/obits/gob480leavitt.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nvfiles/ File size: 1.6 Kb
