DIED



LOFTUS:  In this city, Wednesday evening February 6, 1918, John LOFTUS,

aged about 67 years.

    The deceased was striken with apoplexy about two weeks ago.  The first

stroke was followed by others until death resulted.  The funeral was held

at the Undertaking Chapel Friday afternoon and interment made at Woodlawn

cemetery.

    The deceased was a resident of Vegas for over ten years, being for a

time in the employ of the Salt Lake Road as car inspector.  He leaves

surviving him a wife and two daughters residing in Pennsylvania, also a

nephew, Wm. DOYLE, employed at the Johnnie Mine.
