SHOWBOAT EXEC DIES IN CRASH



    A Showboat Hotel executive was identified as the man killed Sunday in a 

one-car accident.

    Bob McDONALD, 52, vice president and manager of the Showboat, was killed 

when he lost control of his Corvette on Apache near Sahara which became 

airborne,  and crashed into a power pole and caught fire.

    Showboat President and longtime friend Frank A. MODICA said the native 

of Canada would be missed by hotel personnel both in Las Vegas and in 

Atlantic City.  "Everybody has tears around here," he said.

    Services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday at Palm Mortuary on Las Vegas 

Boulevard.  Burial will be in Canada where he has family.
