R. NORDQUIST, aged 31 years. The news of the death of Mr. NORDQUIST comes as a shock to the people of Las Vegas. He was taken sick with pneumonia Monday morning last as the result of exposure to the storm while on his run as conductor on the Salt Lake road. His condition continued to grow more serious until Friday when it was decided to remove him to Los Angeles. He was accompanied on number one last night by Mrs. NORDQUIST, Mrs. Walter E. SEARE, Mr. J. A. LIDAY and Dr. H. L. HEWETSON, but death came this morning before the train had reached its destination. The deceased was one of the best known conductors on the Salt Lake Route and had hundreds of friends here who sincerely mourn his passing. He leaves surviving him, his widow and five children. The remains will be taken to Salt Lake for interment. The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon under the direction of the Elks, Mr. NORDQUIST being a member of the Goldfield lodge.
