In the death of the lad, just approaching young manhood, the parents have suffered a grievous hurt. The blow came swiftly, the dread disease, infantile paralysis, taking him almost before they could realize the danger. Mr. and Mrs. Perkins have the sincere sympathy of many friends in southern Nevada, especially in Las Vegas and Searchlight, where they are best known. Mr. Perkins, it will be remembered, was editor and owner of the Searchlight Bulletin, from 1902 to 1911, during which time he was prominent in the political and business life of this section. The family moved to Los Angeles in 1914, at which time Mr. Perkins became city editor of the Los Angeles Examiner. The family now resides at 1545 West 45th street, Los Angeles. There are fortunately two children left to comfort them, Alice Elizabeth and Dawson. The AGE can only offer to the sorrowing ones an expression of the grief which is felt for them in their bereavement.
