He was found by the crew of No. 1 and brought to Vegas the same evening. He did not recover consciousness but died Monday. He was identified as a man who served a term on the city chain gang recently. It is said that he has a sister living in Lexington. The body was buried by the county. The coroner's jury impanelled by Judge HARKINS brought in a verdict that deceased died "As the result of loss of blood at the time of accident and shock of operation of amputation of his leg made necessary by its being run over by train No. 2d 82, on the 15th day of April, 1917, between the hours of 3 and 4 p.m. of said date. Deceased was approximately 45 years of age. Accident occured a short distance east of Hoya." The jury was composed of C. E. PEMBROKE, foreman, G. H. FRENCH, M. J. BURNS, R. E. ROCKWELL, W. C.
