He was engaged in his duties in the mill alone when, in some manner unknown, his clothing was caught by the rapidly revolving shafting. Every stich {sic} of clothing except his shoes and stockings was torn from him and his naked body hurled to the ground where it was discovered by Ernest AMENT about 6:30 in the morning. The time of the accident was fixed at 3 a.m. by the fact that his watch, found in the remnants of his clothing, had stopped at that hour. Undertaker ROBERTS was notified and went from this city, bringing in the remains the same day. John A. MC CARTHY, an old friend of MC KINNON's, accompanied him and arranged for shipping the remains to the family home in San Diego Wednesday night. The deceasd was well known among the people of the southern portion of the county. During the early days of Searchlight he was very prominent there, at one time being the owner of the Searchlight townsite. He was one of the first locators in that camp. He leaves surviving him a wife and three children in San Diego. This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nvfiles/ File size: 1.8 Kb
