R. Bracken of the sudden death in San Diego of Frank M. Grace. He passed away while attending a railroad executive luncheon Monday noon. Frank was a pioneer Las Vegan. A young man of unusual ability he superintended the construction and operation of the Las Vegas and Tonopah railroad. He was an outstanding figure in the early life of this community. He was genial, kindly and possessed a rare understanding of people and problems. In 1906 he married Miss Marion Porter of Los Angeles. They lived for a short time at the old ranch and later built a home at the corner of Fremont and Fifth which was recently moved to make way for the Union Oil station. When the L.V. & T. railroad was discontinued he and his family moved to their lemon grove near San Diego where they lived for several years. Later he was made assistant to the general manager of the San Diego and Arizona railroad, a position he occupied to the day of his death. It was a beautiful way to go - no long illness, no agonizing farewells, just to fall asleep to awaken on another shore. Besides his widow, he leaves three daughters, Helen, Lois and Francis and a little granddaughter. Final rites were conducted Wednesday.
