He leaves surviving him a widow and two children, a daughter, Marion, now Mrs. William KNOX and a son, Rev. Harry G. GRAY, formerly rector of the Christ Church in this city. To many of us in Vegas who have known and loved "father GRAY" as he was often called while visiting his son Harry in this city, the loss of this ever happy, genial, kindly soul is grievous. To the wife and children who have ever been happy in the affection of a loving husband and a proud and indulgent father, the loss is almost too much to bear. The family with the exception of Harry, were at the bedside at the end. Harry, after spending a few days at home, and believing that his father, although sorely stricken, would live many weeks, was returning to Los Angeles to close his affairs there and return to the family home to be with his father during the remainder of his life. However, upon stepping from the train at Los Angeles he was handed the message bearing the sad news of his father's death. He will return to Winchester as soon as possible to be with his mother and sister. The writer of this had the good fortune to count Patrick Graham GRAY as friend. In looking backwards to the many hours spent together our memory is only of a delightful companion at all times.
