DEAD MOTORCYCLIST IDENTIFIED

Metropolitan Police have identified a gas station attendant who was killed early Wednesday when his motorcycle ran into a motor home parked in an alley near Paradise Road.

Police said Joseph Harper, 31, of 730 W. St. Louis Ave. apparently had been dead about three or four hours when his body was discovered about 7 a.m.

The man apparently did not see the motor home as he turned from the 2030 block of Paradise Road into the alley, officers said.

He worked for a gas station at Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue, but it was not known whether he was leaving or going to work, police said.
