Hicks, the Horseshoe Club floorman who was murdered Thursday. Mass will be read at 2 p.m. Monday at the same place by Father William Kenny. Burial will be in Palm-Memorial Park. Hicks, son of the late Las Vegas hotel developer Marion B. Hicks, was found at the bottom of stairs leading to his townhouse at 953 E. Vegas Valley Drive about 7 p.m. by his roommate [omitted]. As of Friday afternoon, police were still without leads or motive although several angles were being pursued. Hicks, 31, has had several run-ins with the police over the years including being arrested for murder in 1972 and being involved in a highly organized scheme to cheat area casinos out of millions of dollars, police said.
