LAS VEGAS AGE

HOOKER- In Las Vegas, Nevada, Monday morning, February 25, 1924, Grace West Hooker, beloved wife of Joe Hooker, and daughter
of Mr. and Mrs.Thomas West,aged 23.    
	
This beautiful young woman spent most of her life in Las Vegas, coming here when but a little girl.  She received her education in the 
Las Vegas schools. Later the family moved to Los Angeles and there she was married to Joe Hooker.  Symptoms of the dreaded 
consumption appeared and she spent many months at the LaVina Hospital in Pasadena.  Last Septemer, longing for her mother, 
she came to Las Vegas, where she has remained and where she has received the loving care of her parents.  She passed quietly 
away Monday morning surrounded by the members of her family.

Funeral services were held at the residence Wednesday afternoon and the remains, accompanied by the family, were taken to Long 
Beach, California, where interment will take place.  The floral tributes were many and beautiful.  The Penny store was closed during
 the service out of respect for the sister of the deceased who is an employee.

Besides the husband and parents there are three brothers and one sister to mourn her passing and to whom we extend sympathy.
