The funeral services were held in Santa Monica at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon and interment was made in the beautiful Rosedale cemetery in Los Angeles. The news of the death of little Thelma JACKSON brought grief to the hearts of many Las Vegas people who have seen her grow from babyhood to girlhood as delicate and beautiful as a flower. She was a child of Las Vegas, having been born here March 28, 1908, and lived here with her parents until they removed to El Paso, Texas, less than a year ago. In that city she suffered her first serious illness, being stricken with typhoid fever and pneumonia, from which she recovered in time, but weakened and broken in health. Recently Mr. and Mrs. JACKSON brought her back to Vegas in the hope that the old home and pleasant climate might restore her to complete health, but the benefit was only temporary. It was thought best to take her to the coast, where the low altitude would be less severe on a weakened heart, but death brought an end to the hopes. We, who have known her and loved her as a happy child during the past eight years, feel an especialy deep sympathy for the sorrowing parents. Though she has been taken to that other bright shore, the memory of her sweet young life will ever remain as a comfort to those who mourn.
