Stephen Bob Johnson, 47, died suddenly July 17, 2004. Born in Modesto Calif., 
Jan. 26, 1957. He grew up in Las Vegas, graduated from Chaparral High School 
and attended UNLV. Stephen worked at Harrah's Hotel as an engineering purchaser 
for the last 20 years. He had a variety of interests. Learning how something 
worked was a fun challenge. He enjoyed redesigning common items. Best 
contribution to the house was his pneumatic can crusher that could crush a 
twelve pack. He especially loved fishing, camping, bird and deer hunting. Steve 
could cook me under the table. As a devoted father, he enjoyed watching his 
daughter play basketball and was a volunteer coach for his son's little league 
team. He loved country music, electronic gadgets, and computer games. He was 
one of the most observant people I knew and his sense of humor will be greatly 
missed by all. Steve never said much but touched everyone's lives just the 
same. God blessed me with a loving husband for 24 years. He was my best friend, 
teacher, love of my life, and he made me complete. Stephen is survived by his 
wife, Tina; sons, Christopher Stephen and Jacob Bob; daughter, Sarah Ann; 
parents, Bob and Reola Johnson; brother, Michael Ray; sister-in-law, Sherrie 
Marie Johnson; nephew, Rick; and niece, Rachael, all of Las Vegas. Visitation 
will be from 4-7 p.m. Thursday, July 22, at Palm Mortuary, 7600 S. Eastern 
(between Robindale and Warmspring). Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, 
July 23, at Community Lutheran Church, 3720 E. Tropicana. (Between Pecos and 
Sandhill) Interment at Palm Valley View Cemetery
