 Alton Jones, 88, died Thursday.  He was a 34-year resident of Las Vegas.

A retired grocery store owner, he was born July 21, 1904, in Grafton, Utah.

He is survived by his daughters Alyce McCracken of Carson City and Virginia of 
Mira Loma, Calif.  Sisters Ida Halverstadt of Grass Valley, Calif. Vilo Demille 
of Rockville, Utah and Viola Middleton of Sandy, Utah, eight grandchildren and 
six great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday in Palm Mortuary downtown and one hour prior 
to services at 10 a.m. Monday in the Las Vegas First Ward chapel of the Church 
of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints.  Burial will be in St. George, Utah.
