Chuck began his tennis career as director of tennis and swimming at the Flamingo Hotel in 1946. Later he left Las Vegas for Southern California, only to be lured back to take over tennis operations at the Desert Inn Hotel in 1964. Chuck soon was overseeing tennis operations for the Hughes Hotels. Chuck was instrumental in establishing junior and adult tennis in the Southern Nevada area. He also brought big time tennis to Las Vegas. He established team matches, tournaments and in the late 60's, brought the Davis Cup to Las Vegas. He is survived by his sister, Mary Robinson; three children, Charlene Michalek, Mike Kellogg and Raymond Kellogg; six grandchildren, Lorri Michalek, Mindy Michalek, Carrie Kellogg, Sean Kellogg, Ethan Kellogg and Olivia Kellogg; and one great-grandchild, Andrew Kellogg- Olas. There will be a gathering of family and friends at 4 p.m. Sunday, July 25, at Ray Kellogg's home in Las Vegas.
