OBITUARY

YOUTH AND AGE RESPOND TO CALL OF DEATH

JOSEPH KESLER

	Joseph Kesler, one of our industrious and energetic citizens, 
died at his home on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10:30 p.m.  He was born Jan. 
11, 1845, making his age 63 years and one week.  He was brought to 
Kansas City when a child about 4 years of age.  Mr. Kesler had the 
confidence of all who knew him as an honest and industrious man.  He 
wanted to live right and "lay up treasure in heaven."  With his family he 
united with the communion of the Methodist church April 7th, 1907.
	The funeral service was on Monday from the family home, 
conducted by Rev. Bain.
