RENEE LAFAYETTE Renee Ellen LaFayette, of Las Vegas, passed away Sept. 13, 
2015. She was born Jan. 9, 1956, in Chicago, to Harry and Eleanore Beeson. She 
will be greatly missed by her family and friends across the country. From 
family and friends in Chicago, to her former colleagues during her time in Los 
Angeles working for ABC, to her family and friends in Las Vegas. She moved to 
Las Vegas 15 years ago and worked for St. Rose Dominican Hospital, where she 
was loved by all that came in contact with her. She fought a long battle 
against the enemy, cancer. She loved her dogs and was surrounded by them and 
her family when she passed. She is survived by her husband, Lew LaFayette; son, 
Lewis IV (Breanna); daughter, Heather; brother, Larry Beeson (Maria); and 
granddaughters, Monae and Laela. She will be deeply missed! Memorial service 
will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, at St. Rose Dominican Hospital-San 
Martin Campus Chapel, 8280 W. Warm Springs Road, Las Vegas, NV 89113. There 
will also be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 26, at First Good 
Shepherd Lutheran Church, 301 S. Maryland Parkway, Las Vegas, NV 89101. 
Refreshments will be served after the Saturday service. In lieu of any flowers, 
donations to Nevada ASPCA, Best Friends Animal Society, a no-kill animal 
shelter, cancer research or the Dignity Health Foundation would be appreciated.
